Frequently Asked Questions

Questions? Answers.

The range, buying and selling, training, and memberships.

The Range

Do I need a membership or appointment?

No. We're walk-in friendly 7 days a week, 10AMโ€“7PM. Calling ahead helps for large groups.

How much is range time?

Lanes start at $12 per half hour, plus rental, ammo, and targets. Full pricing on the Range page.

Can I rent a firearm?

Yes, we rent handguns, rifles, and shotguns by the session and sell ammo in-house. Bring a valid photo ID.

What ammo can I use?

Ammo must be bought from us or meet our range requirements. No steel-core, armor-piercing, tracer, or incendiary rounds. Ask staff if you're unsure.

Who's responsible for safety?

We're a self-regulated range, so every shooter is their own Range Safety Officer and responsible for safe handling. Staff brief you and are there to help. Sign the Range Waiver before shooting.

Buying, Selling & Transfers

How old to buy a firearm or ammo?

Long guns and ammo: 18+. Handguns and handgun ammo: 21+ โ€” and to buy a handgun in Nebraska you'll also need a valid Nebraska Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) or a Nebraska Handgun Purchase Permit. Every sale needs a valid photo ID and a passed background check.

Can I buy a gun online and have it shipped to my house?

No. Firearms can't ship to a private buyer. Anything bought online, including our GunBroker listings, ships to a licensed FFL, where you pass a background check and finish the paperwork in person before taking it home.

Do you accept transfers from other dealers?

Yes, we're a licensed FFL and handle incoming transfers. Call (402) 315-1140 for our transfer fee and shipping details.

How does consignment work?

We list your firearm in-store and on GunBroker, vet the buyer, and handle the transfer. You keep 80%; our 20% covers listing, vetting, and paperwork. More on the Store page.

How long does a background check take?

Most clear in minutes; some get delayed by the system. Approval is decided by the government, not us.

Training & Classes

I'm a beginner. Where do I start?

Right here. Staff teach first-timers, and the Basic Handgun Course through our training partner is built for people who've never held a gun. See the Training page.

Do you offer concealed carry classes?

Yes, through Sabin Academy, a USCCA-certified, Nebraska-approved instructor teaching live-fire classes here. The Nebraska Conceal Carry Permit class is $99.

Are there women-only classes?

Yes. Our women-led training partner runs a Women's Handgun & Self-Defense course for all experience levels.
