Bought a firearm online or from out of state? Ship it to us and we’ll handle the transfer, paperwork, and background check so you can pick it up legally and locally.
Federal law requires that firearms purchased online or shipped across state lines go through a licensed dealer (FFL). That’s us. Here’s the flow:
Members pay half: $20 standard · $50 NFA. Shipping runs about $50 on average but varies with the package’s weight, size, and destination — we’ll quote your exact cost before anything ships.
Every transfer is a real firearm purchase under federal and Nebraska law. Here’s what applies.
Important — No Online Firearm Sales
No firearm transfer can be completed online or by mail. All transfers are finalized in person at our La Vista location, in compliance with federal law (18 U.S.C. § 922) and Nebraska state law. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any transfer that does not comply with applicable law, and to decline shipments we did not pre-approve. The Bullet Hole is not responsible for items damaged or delayed by the shipping carrier or the sending party. [CONFIRM YOUR RETURN/REFUSED-ITEM POLICY HERE.]
A standard incoming transfer is $40 per firearm, and NFA items (suppressors, SBRs, etc.) are $100. That covers receiving, logging, and running the background check. Bullet Hole members pay half — $20 standard and $50 NFA. If you need us to ship a firearm out to another dealer, shipping averages about $50 but depends on the weight, size, and destination — we’ll quote it before we ship.
Give us a call at (402) 315-1140 or use our contact page and we’ll send a current copy of our FFL directly to your seller. Many online retailers already have us on file.
We’ll contact you (call or email) once it’s received and logged, typically within [1–2 business days] of delivery. Please wait for our confirmation before coming in.
No. Federal law requires the 4473 and background check to be done in person. Bring a valid photo ID and, for handguns, your Nebraska CHP or Handgun Purchase Permit.
If the check is denied, we cannot release the firearm to you — no exceptions. Options at that point are limited by law; ask our staff and we’ll explain what can and can’t be done. The transfer fee is non-refundable. [CONFIRM REFUND POLICY.]
Yes — we can ship a firearm you own to another licensed dealer (for example, if you’re moving or selling). Shipping averages around $50 depending on weight and destination, plus any handling fee. Call us to arrange it.
